New Releases from Apple

It's that time of year again when Apple releases a new range of its core products. We've picked out our favourite top 5 developments below from today's announcement.

iPhone 13 Pro: Camera Ready

Here in the office, the main thing we're talking about is the camera, particularly its ability to do macro photography (no more frustration when you're trying taking photos of your latte art and being told by the camera app to move back!). Also the camera has a cool depth of field function in video mode for auto-focusing on different subjects within the frame.

iPhone 13 Pro: Power and Strength

For those looking at the details, you'll be stoked to see improved processing power, responsive display interaction, up to 1TB of memory, and better battery life. Peace of mind also gets a boost with increased durability with a Ceramic Shield on the screen, surgical-grade steel and IP68 water resistance (splash-, water- and dust-resistant, and maximum depth of 6 metres up to 30 minutes—just remember that liquid damages are not covered under Apple warranty so still take care!).

Apple Watch: Same Size, More Screen

The new Series 7 adds nearly 20% more screen area than the Series 6. This is more than 50% extra screen area than the Series 3. This is pretty impressive and certainly improves the usability of the device with larger on-screen buttons, a QWERTY keyboard and more space for using Scribble to handwrite a message.

iPad Mini Plays a Big Game

This beautifully-sized device now has maximised its screen size so, when coupled with support for Apple Pencil, makes it so much more user-friendly. Plus, the improved processing power and 80% faster graphics makes this a truly great take-me-anywhere tool for creatives.

iPad Does It All

It continues to amaze us how accessible, in terms of price, the iPad is. With improved processing, all-day battery life, ability to use multiple apps at one time, and a super functional 12MP Ultra Wide front camera that is perfect for video calls with Centre Stage technology to follow you as you move around, there's a lot to like from a product that starts at NZD $569.
